Python - ArcPy

The dynamic and object-oriented programming language Python has become the most important programming language for automatization and customization of geographic information systems (GIS).

ArcPy, developed by ESRI, allows Python to be integrated into ArcGIS Pro. This enables the automatization of complex processes and the expansion of ArcGIS Pro functionality. In the course, participants first learn how Python can be used for field calculations. They will then work together to develop various scripts that demonstrate how to read, edit and export spatial data. The course also covers how to create custom scripting tools that use a graphical user interface and can be integrated into ArcGIS Pro toolboxes.
