QGIS - Introduction
This introduction to QGIS (formerly Quantum GIS) covers all essential basics of the free, user-friendly GIS application. As a powerful open-source application, QGIS supports not only the editing and presentation of spatial data, but also the integration of WMS services and the connection to relational databases. The course contents include, in addition to the basics of using the interface, the integration of vector and raster data, editing and creating vector data, and the presentation thereof in various map formats. Practical exercises and course documents will assist you in deepening your acquired knowledge in handling, visualizing, editing and acquiring spatial data with QGIS.
