Introduction to Remote Sensing Methods
This introductory course conveys the essentials of remote sensing by providing participants with an overview of available remote sensing software and image processing and analysis methods.
A variety of exercises will cover methods of image correction, enhancement and classification, as well as the generation of meaningful maps
The course uses open-source software (QGIS and various plugins) and freely available data (Landsat 8, Sentinel 2, etc.) and also provides an overview of cloud-based remote sensing using the example of the Google Earth Engine and EO Browser.
