This introduction to Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) provides an overview of the various components of a spatial data infrastructure, such as a web server, a central database, a spatial server, a web portal. Current examples of national and regional SDIs are shown. The course also focuses on topics such as metadata, the legal framework, licensing, and standardization.
